Michigan up north - The towns presented here all have a rich history that tells part of the story of Michigan.  While most of these places are too small for a two or three day Michigan road trip, each one is well worth a visit if you are a Michigan history buff.

Some of these places are now ghost towns or have been transformed into attractions,  All of them contributed to the exploration and development of Michigan!
