Perhaps one of the most photographed sites in the upper peninsula of Michigan, Taquamenon Falls is spectacular in every season of the year. The falls is an easy day trip from St. Ignace being only a bit over an hour away. The Falls are one of the largest east of the Mississippi River and are in a 40,000 acre park with trails for hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
At the upper falls is a brewpub with good food.
They are closed in the winter. The park usually offers a snowshoe making
class in winter with a hike afterwards.
